Refund and Cancellation Policy

We would love you to experience the full benefits of our Positive Intelligence® (PQ) coaching programs and any other coaching programs, digital products, and services we offer.
If, after giving it your best effort, you feel any one of our programs is not a good fit, we offer the following refund policy:
Refund Policy
14-Day Money Back Guarantee
You are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of being added to the PQ App and community platform, provided you:
- Have completed the first 2 weeks of video content in the PQ App.
- Have attended the first 2 live group coaching sessions hosted by Lauren Kinghorn.
This 14-day guarantee applies to any coaching programs we offer now or in the future.
↺ How to Request a Refund
Please email lauren@laurenkinghorn.com and cc laurenjeankinghorn@gmail.com within 14 days of program access with:
- The reason you’re requesting a refund
- Confirmation that you completed the required sessions
- Your feedback (optional but appreciated)
Refunds will be processed within 5 business days of approval.
Cancellations
Due to the digital nature and group coaching structure of our programs, no refunds are issued after the 14-day period. If you need to withdraw later due to unforeseen circumstances, please reach out to discuss options for pausing or deferring your program.
Cancelled Appointments
For any other cancellations, such as cancelled appointments, please refer to the section on Schedule Changes in the Coaching Agreement we signed when you agreed to hire me as your coach, as per below.
Schedule Changes
- Please prioritize our session and arrange your schedule to honour the time we agreed upon.
- If you must reschedule, please give me 24 hours’ notice or let me know as soon as possible.
- I will not be able to reschedule a no-show because I am holding an appointment for you and will be unable to fit another client in with less than 24 hours’ notice.
- The full session fee will be charged for sessions cancelled at the last minute. Emergencies are an exception.
Further Policies
If you’re serious about change, decide to commit to coaching.
Depending on your situation, the following are typical choices people make for a series of sessions:
- Weekly 1-on-1 coaching sessions for 1-3 months (recommended if you’re considering a major life, work, or emotional transformation).
- Sessions every 2 weeks for 3 months (recommended for those who have a general feeling of being stuck or unfulfilled personally or professionally, and are committed to moving forward).
- Monthly sessions (recommended for those looking to make targeted changes or continue the work they have started during the more frequent series of sessions)
- Positive Intelligence (PQ) Foundation Program (7 weeks) – Daily PQ Reps and Focus Exercises, and a weekly video coupled with a weekly group coaching session on Zoom.
- Positive Intelligence 12-Month Mastermind – PQ Foundation plus 10 Months of Applications
- Maintenance Sessions (ad hoc, as required) every few months (recommended for those looking to touch base, connect and maintain their momentum by continuing to challenge )
Your Role
- Please make our coaching sessions a priority. You have chosen to invest in yourself.
- It is beneficial if you can come to each session with an idea of what you’d like to take away from our time together. Coaching is strongly based on the client’s agenda.
- Please take time before each session to complete the action steps agreed upon during previous sessions (if any) and email the session prep questions or agreed action steps, if relevant.
- Please come to your session centered and open-minded. Be willing to change your beliefs and patterns if they do not serve you
- Please feel free to give me feedback in the moment about your coaching experience –what works as well as what doesn’t. Do not ever worry about hurting my feelings or fear what I might think. I am here to support you, not judge you or make decisions for you. If something I say does not resonate with you, I’d like to know about
- Please arrive at all sessions on time so we can get the most out of the time we have scheduled together.
My Role
- I will listen closely to you, respond to what I hear, and ask questions. If I hear something in your voice or body language that sparks an intuitive idea, thought, or image, I might share it and ask you questions about it. Often it is these small nuances that create big shifts for you. Remember, if it doesn’t resonate, tell me. I’m not attached to being right.
- At the end of the session, if you do not mention what actions you are ready to take, I may make a coach request. I like to ask clients to stretch themselves and deepen the work done in the sessions by either journaling at home, taking a defined action, resolving relationships or tackling things that feel incomplete. Please note: You are free to negotiate, accept or decline. Most of the work will be regarding self-awareness and powerful choice.
Extra Time
- Between sessions, if you have questions, a brief update, or want to bounce any ideas off me, please contact me via email or WhatsApp. Please keep these contacts succinct.
- If it seems like it will be better served as session material, I’ll suggest that we discuss it in our next session.
Fees
- Fees can be paid by credit card or debit card securely via a link on this website.
- Alternatively, I will email you an invoice or send a payment link via WhatsApp.
- Because professional coaching is not considered medical consultation or treatment, it’s unlikely that you will be able to claim from Medical Aid or Health Insurance for your sessions.
- However, coaching fees may be tax-deductible as a business
- Please check with your Accountant or Bookkeeper.
