I have been dreaming about becoming a bestselling author since I was eight years old. This year, that dream finally came true, though not in the way I expected. Instead of publishing my own book, I became a bestselling author through a chapter I contributed to the beautiful book Miracles Are Normal.
The Stillness Before the Miracle
In December 2025, I stopped striving.
Instead of spending the holidays working, creating, pushing, I chose something different. I wanted four quiet weeks to be there for my son and his friends. To just BE.
One morning I asked a simple question in prayer:
“What is my next inspired action?”
The answer came immediately.
“Your book.”
For years, I had dreamed of writing a book. In fact, I have two half-written manuscripts sitting on my computer, each exploring passions close to my heart, longevity (how to reverse your age) and how to be the light.
The Message That Led to Miracles
And then an unexpected message dropped in my inbox from Dina Marais of Soul Purpose Publishing. She asked if I would like to contribute a chapter to one of her upcoming multi-author books, Divine Rebirth or Miracles Are Normal.
This felt like an immediate answer to my prayer.
Both of the titles sounded so very me. I already have a podcast that’s been quietly building a name for itself in the background called Believe in Miracles, and Divine Rebirth sounds like the spiritual version of reinvention, another of my favourite passions.
Why Miracles Are Normal?
I resonated with the title because so many miracles have happened throughout my life. For a few weeks, I mulled over which miracle I’ve experienced would make for the most compelling chapter.
I thought about writing about my burnout breakthrough story in my twenties and how it led me to a new career,.
Or the chaos in my life when that career ended that led me to move back to Cape Town. And how I met my husband because of this move.
I thought about the miracle of moving into my dream beach house and finally becoming a Mother and how magical it has been to be a stay at home mother.
I thought about the miracles that came from reading out all 365 lessons of A Course in Miracles during the pandemic and how much peace this brought me.
I thought of all the miracle gifts I’ve received from friends and coaches I’ve met online who have supported me.
I realized my challenge wasn’t finding a miracle. It was choosing which miracle to share.
Miracles Unleashed
Then, in early January, my husband’s brother Martin passed away.
And almost immediately, something extraordinary began to happen.
Miracles started arriving one after another.
It felt as though the heavens had opened.
Suddenly, I knew.
This was the story I was meant to write.
My Chapter in Miracles Are Normal
In my chapter I share the extraordinary series of events that unfolded after Martin’s passing.
They weren’t dramatic Hollywood miracles. They were gentle, deeply personal moments that arrived with such perfect timing that they became impossible for me to dismiss as coincidence.
One miracle led to another. And another. And another.
Until eventually we were asking ourselves, “what miracle is going to drop next?”

And the miracles didn’t stop coming when I finished the chapter.
After I submitted my chapter to Miracles Are Normal, the book, the miracles kept unfolding.

- I received an invitation to be a guest speaker at the Link2Grow AGM (a local Non Profit)
