The World Health Organization reports that only about 25% of longevity is genetic. The other 75% comes down to lifestyle and environment. That means you and I have far more influence over our health, vitality, and happiness than we might believe.

But here’s the catch: so many people are living longer, yet not necessarily better.  Some 80-year-olds match the energy of 30-year-olds, while others struggle with basic tasks.  Too often, the golden years are overshadowed by frailty, chronic illness, or loss of independence.

I experienced this firsthand watching my Dad’s decline with Lewy Body Disease, and it made me ask: What’s the point of adding years if they aren’t vibrant, joyful ones?

Choose clean, peaceful surroundings inspired by Blue Zones. Simple steps like planting trees or recycling to reduce the toll of pollution.

Tips: Consciously create spaces that are clean, green, natural, and life-giving.

Live with purpose, passion, and contribution.  Find meaning in life through self-reflection, volunteering, or pursuing dreams.
